The aim is to provide organised program where students with and wihout disability in each age group can meet and have a positive impression. This is to avoid pre-justice and intolerance in the growing generations towards people living with disabilities. secondary school

I

In the secondary school the RAMPA organises presentations and discussions led by students and working persons
Our aim is to help the children to the experience that disabled persons are able to live a full life, do high quality work and make a carrier. These talks provide a chance to think about real values in life. The programs were advertised on the message boards in the school with illustrations and some thoughts in order to make everyone think for a while who meets them.
The programs we have done were very popular in the school. As there is an excellent student-teacher cooperation, all students and teachers have heard about the program and all who were interested were present.

The invited guests:

Bendegúz Nagy rehabilitation engineer, student of architecture (wheelchair user)

György Mikesy Head of Association of Hungarian Deaf Persons, director of a special school (deaf)

FAMILY PROJECT

/\ /\ back /\ /\

Partner

Calvinist Congregation of Baja

project

The project was originally started by the formal youth group and its friends with regular meetings. By now it grew to be large occasions with several families present. Our main meetings are: two "family weekends" and a "family week" each year in addition to the regular meetings every second month.
Our goal is to build and strengthen a group that is opened to invite and help families where there are disabled child or only one parent having economilal and social disadvanteges. This is to provide a functioning example of such a value-centered thinking that may be a key to establish a caring society.
It is also important for us to find the way how families can be integrated into churches, what liturgical frames suit their needs (especially ones with small children). We gain a lot through being together, talking, playing, singing and praying.
The RAMPA foundation organises these programs and covers the costs for those who could hardly afford it without help. Our idea is that lack of money should not exclude anyone!

NEXT program

weekend at Sükösd 26-28.Sept.

family weeks & weekends

We spend two weekends and one week together each year, where we invite guests to help us think together. At the weekends we have a topic we want to approach from different view points.
We experience the importance to meet other Christian families. It is good both for the parents and the children to know that we are not alone with our special problems with jobs, family relations, ... We organise paralell children programs with trained Bible teachers so the parents can be present at the discussions.
We refine our daily schedule and liturgical forms before each meeting. Our goal is to find out how we can be together in a way that is both useful and suitable for audults and children.
We always go to cheap places and the foundation provides part of the fees for families who have economical problems, so we believe noone stays at home becouse economical reasons.
